CEF Partners with Local Churches

In 2016 the Southern IL Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Illinois, Inc. was established. The SI Chapter serves the lower 19 counties of Illinois.

Our mission is to mobilize the body of Christ in Southern Illinois to Adopt-A-School. To provide training to volunteers and extraordinary opportunities for reaching the next generation with the Gospel through after school Good News Clubs® during the academic year. To train and develop young missionaries through Christian Youth in Action Program (CYIA®) to send them out to evangelize hundreds of community children in Southern Illinois during the summer months with 5-Day Clubs®.

Our vision is to see every public school in Southern Illinois adopted by a local church and a Good News Club® meeting weekly. To send volunteers to Go and Tell. To arm them with evangelistic curriculum for fruitful ministry to children in every township, village, city, or un-incorporated community in the lower 19 counties of Illinois.

The Goal: To witness children coming to Christ. To connect with local Bible-believing churches, Christian businesses and individuals. To link arms in fulfilling the Great Commission to impact as many children as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ before their 13th birthday!

Visit: www.cefsi.com for more details on how you can partner with CEF in Southern Illinois to Adopt-A-School for after school Good News Club, host a summer 5-Day Club outreach or attend missionary training.

My Salvation Testimony

I was saved as a child. I am very passionate about sharing the Gospel with children. I hate to think about where I might be today if I had not heard the Good News of Jesus and how HE made a way for me to be saved from my sin.

I was in the 4th grade when I attended a revival with my grandmother. I will never forget the message that the country evangelist from Kentucky preached that night. The Holy Spirit spoke directly to my heart to reveal to me the condition of my heart. I believed fully in that moment that Jesus loved me. I felt sorry about my sin and believed that Jesus was the only way to have me sin forgiven. I asked Jesus to save me.

The next day at school my teacher Mrs. Wagner ask me " did something good happen to you Robin?" I was in awe...I thought to myself how does she know? Did God tell her?

I responded "YES! I asked Jesus to save me and change me." She hugged me and said, "I'm so happy for you! I have been praying for you!"

I can not tell you how much that meant to me.

I found out some years later that Mrs. Wagner had received a call from a friend that was at the revival, the night I went to the alter.

Her friend knew that I was her student and that she had been praying for me.

I am so thankful for a 4th grade teacher who saw me the way God saw me and was obedient and loving to pray for me instead of treating me as my actions deserved.

HE IS FAITHFUL!
